Robert was born in Europe and raised in Chicago. After graduating from Roosevelt University he pursued a teaching career for the Chicago Public School System. After coming to Los Angeles he became a Trainer for new Agents at one of the larger Real Estate firms in Beverly Hills. Realizing the value and importance of knowledge, Robert prides himself in keeping up with the ever-changing real estate environment by studying the new laws and changes in our industry to protect the clients he serves.
Robert Leighton is a consistent Top Producer at Rodeo Realty as well as being the Associate Manager of the company’s Sunset Strip Office. He has served as the 2006 President of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Board of Realtors is a Director and previous member of the Executive Committee of the California Association of Realtors, has been voted “Realtor of the Year” in 2004, by the membership of the Board of Realtors, and has been Director for the National Association of Realtors. He focuses on the Hollywood Hills-Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Westwood, Brentwood, Hancock Park, Los Feliz, the San Fernando Valley as well as outlying areas up and down the coast of California. Robert specializes in all types of properties; single family homes, Condominiums, residential income properties, commercial, and probate properties. Robert holds the title of being a Certified International Property Specialist. Robert specializes in REO Properties and has for the past three years and is currently assisting Bank of America and other Investors in marketing and selling their Real Estate Owned assets. Robert is a Certified Commercial Property Advisor. Robert has been a member of the National Association of Realtor’s Commercial Committee known as RCA, The Realtor’s Commercial Alliance, and is a CCIM designee candidate finishing a few more of the required courses. Robert recently received Certification as an International Property Specialist in 2013. Robert is proficient and familiar in all types of commercial properties and Robert’s attention to detail, excellent negotiating skills, and extensive knowledge has earned him the respect of his peers and affiliates. Robert does not just “LIST” a property, he “SELLS” it.
